Story-turn counts and working prices are Alpha design targets. They become sale terms only after cost testing, final disclosure, and an active checkout. Unused-turn and rollover rules are still under research.

What membership does not change.
Can I publish for free?
Yes. Free members can write, import, save, and publish. Scriptorium pays for advanced tools and larger capacity.
What if I downgrade?
Your manuscripts, covers, and artwork remain preserved. Files above a lower quota become read-only until you export, delete, or restore capacity.
Can profile art contain code?
No. Illumination uses controlled image fields and curated themes. Member HTML, JavaScript, and CSS are not accepted.
Does the Athenaeum hold artist payments?
No. During Alpha, The Atelier is a directory and commission board. It does not provide checkout, escrow, refunds, or transaction guarantees.
